Buy low and sell high is good advice for buying real estate
| Last night I watched Larry King who featured Donald Trump as his guest. They spoke about my favorite subject which is of course real estate and homes. Donald Trump made a statement that was so simple yet so powerful that I have to share it with you. He said the housing market has slowed down and home pricing is certainly more affordable today than it has been in years past. With the interest rates as low as they are today...NOW is the time to make a move and negotiate the purchase of real estate. One thing is for sure and that is that Donald Trump understands real estate investment opportunity. |

Last nights interview reminded me of something I remember hearing years ago and that is "Buy low and sell high". Now is the perfect time to get a good deal on a home purchase and I have some strong market data to back up my reason why I know today is the right time to buy a home. Interest rates are very low which makes the buying a home far more affordable today and it also makes it much easier to qualify for a home loan. There are more homes available for sale which increases your home buying options and having options is a good thing.
To demonstrate the financial benefits of buying today here is a comparison:
In 1986, the 30 year fixed rate loan was 11.5% and a $100,000 mortgage was $990.29 per month.
Today, the 30 year fixed rate loan is 6.5% and the same $100,000 mortgage is only $632.07 per month.
This is a huge savings of $349.98 per month. There are also other huge financial benefits such as easier loan qualifying and a huge financial savings of $125,992.80 in mortgage interest over the life of the loan. If you have ANY dreams of buying a home in the future you should buy a home now and lock your interest rate in for the life of the loan. By purchasing a home now you will be using home ownership to help protect you against future inflation, you will gain a tax deduction and you will enjoy the benefits of living in your new home right away. Trump says "it is an amazing situation, there are tremendous opportunities"

3% Down Payment Home Loans Are On The Rise
Did you know that the FHA home loan program is one of the most competitive loan mortgage programs available today. It combines a traditional 30 year fixed rate term with a very low 3% down payment. The FHA loan of today is not like the FHA loans of the past because they have streamlined the process and these loans are generally closing in 30 days or less.
